The Upwey Grassroots Market was on last weekend & I’d been nested firmly in the house most of the week.
So it was nice to get outside for some sun & coffee at the Magpie Cafe.
I haven’t been to the market often & it’s been MIA for a little while, (thanks in part to at least one shortsighted business owner who was afraid of losing sales, so I hear) but you can’t keep a good event down!
I was struck by how friendly the crowds were, even away from the market itself.
A nice switch from the normal low-level paranoia witnessed most days on Main street. (In defence of the locals, I do have a sizeable beard & am often spotted carrying craft beer back to the car. I must remember to smile more.)
All Paws For Life has convinced me that Burmese mountain dogs can be a lap dog.
You just need several laps at once is all.
This coming week in Belgrave we’ve got The End Of The Line Festival & the Mountain Doo, which is the moniker for my old school’s yearly fete.
Both events on one day pretty much guarantees that I’ll be blurry eyed from staring through the viewfinder.
I might even have my New Olympus OM-D E-M1, just in time for it.
